Blog: Human Protection (7) - Pack a box

There’s something they don’t tell us at birth. It lingers there year by year, some of us eventually realise it’s there, others carry on blissfully unaware until it’s too late. You see, you have an expiry date and it’s stamped ever so faintly on your bum, so small even the strongest microscope wouldn’t pick it up, but it’s there. It could be months, years, decades away. The uncertainty could eat away at you if you think about it too much.

Life is too short, too fleeting to dwell on your existence. But if it is your time, wouldn’t you want to know your family will be financially okay without you. What peace of mind would it bring to know you’ve given financial relief, paid off mortgage debt and left a bit extra to provide for your loved ones in your stead.

You can choose to pack a box for the ones you love. You can commit to keeping it safe and dry month after month (your monthly premium). It might stay taped up for 10,20 years, perhaps through to retirement (the length of your protection). It might never get opened, but if it does, out will flow your love (a lump sum of money). Your timely reminder that everything will be okay.

That’s the warm hug of a human protection plan. It won’t stop those tears of pain, but it will step up. It will provide if you no longer can so you can rest at peace knowing your family are cared for.
